3. The Lion King

This Buena Vista production opened on 15 June 1994. It grossed an estimated $328,539,505. This is the first that made use of 3D animation for creating animated cartoon drawing and scenes.

This Fox production opened on 15 March 2002. It grossed an estimated $176,387,405.
